Survey privacy notice

This notice covers the Big Chicken Survey and its prize draw. It sits alongside Omlet's full privacy policy, which also applies.

Who is responsible for your data

Omlet Limited is the data controller: The Old Malt House, St. Johns Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 5HX, United Kingdom (company number 05028498).

What we collect

  • Your survey answers. Questions about you, your household and keeping chickens.
  • Your email address, if you give it to enter the prize draw.
  • The winner's bank details, so we can pay the prize. We only ask the winner for these.
  • Technical information recorded by the survey platform, such as your device type, browser and approximate location (country and region).

Why we use it

  • Research. Answers are analysed together to inform Omlet's products and planning.
  • Running the prize draw. To pick a winner, contact them, check they meet the entry criteria and pay the prize. As the terms explain, the winner's surname and location may be announced.
  • Measuring our ads. If you came from an ad on Facebook, Instagram or Google, the survey tells Meta or Google that someone who saw the ad completed it, so we can measure which ads work.

Entering the draw doesn't sign you up to marketing emails.

Who we share it with

  • Typeform, which hosts the survey and stores responses on our behalf.
  • Our research partner, which runs the survey and analyses the results for Omlet.
  • Meta and Google, for ad measurement as described above.

We don't sell your survey answers.

How long we keep it

We keep prize draw contact details only as long as needed to run the draw and award the prize. Survey answers are kept for research for as long as there is a genuine business need, in line with Omlet's privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how it's used, or withdraw your consent. Email info@omlet.co.uk, or write to The Data Protection Officer, Omlet Ltd, at the address above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
